Frequently Asked Questions
What can I commission?
I offer a variety of customizable styles available for commission:
Hand painted workwear, including custom painted denim jackets, jeans, overalls, and canvas workwear.
Specialty pieces: Have an idea you need help to bring to life? Let's talk!
Everyday wear: Made-to-order half & half button-downs. Share your size and color preferences, if any, and I'll do the rest!
Take a look at our offerings and past examples below, and shoot us a message! Be sure to note the custom piece of interest in your note.
Do I ship the item I want painted?
If you already own the jacket or jeans you'd like painted, that's perfect! I'll provide an address for you to ship it to, and I will ship it back, once complete.
If you don't already own the jacket or jeans you'd like painted, please share your size and measurements and I'll confirm I can source it for you! All Hansel Clothing pieces adhere to our secondhand sourcing commitment and will be either post-consumer, vintage or deadstock; the cost of the piece will be added to your final invoice.
Can I wash my hand-painted item?
Yes! All Hansel Clothing designs can be washed and cared for. For best results and long-term vibrancy of color, I recommend hand-washing with cold water and mild soap, being mindful not to directly scrub painted designs, or -- every few months, as worn or soiled -- machine wash inside out, in cold water, and tumble dry on low-to-medium heat.
What is the pricing for a custom piece?
The cost of custom pieces reflect the production, correspondence, and sketching time that goes into making your special piece!
Shoot me a message with your dream piece, and I'll share a quote :)
